Eating out in the polytunnel

The community tree nursery team organised an evening of food, drink and chat in the polytunnel for 17 of us. We all contributed food including a curry, lasagne, pizza and side dishes and afterwards wonderful meringues, cheesecake and Canterbury Tart. The table was set up by H and A with overhead lights, candles and Tea lights. There is no power to the tree nursery, they use a generator if needed, no heating and
the rain reminded us of those days spent camping in Scotland however none of this affected the chat and banter. By 11.00 it was a tad cool and time to head home.

H made a beautiful ice bowl, I hope to find some extras to show it changing as the evening moved on.

A memorable evening.

The community tree nursery was set up 3-4 years ago, this year was one to celebrate with all saleable plants sold hence enough room to set up a table for 17 volunteers. A lot of hard work by a few volunteers who make up a great team of interesting people.
