About rocks

I have a very special relationship with stones and rocks. As children we spent all summer at our cottage on an island called Mölandet in the Sipooo archipelago. Our place was on the southern peninsula with high rocks and the shoreline was full of bigger and smaller rocks and stones.

My sister and I enjoyed a game which we called 'Jump on stones', all good free fun and we played every day, always bare foot and sometimes all day.
We named a lot of the bigger stones and competed to see who can jump fastest back and forth along the beach. Our sense of balance became very good.

Even now, as an adult, I find walking and jumping on rocks - especially with bare feet, one of the most enjoyable things in the world.
