Victoria's Riflebird

One of the star birds of northern Queensland. I'd only seen a female/immature bird before this trip, so was delighted to see several superb males at Lake Eacham. Best of all, I found one displaying yesterday, dancing with his wings held up, accompanied by two immature males still in their brown plumage, copying his dance moves. I think I saw on TV that young males of other birds of paradise learn to display by copying their fathers.
