Yew Tree

On our post swim, post breakfast walk we admired the fungi, the trees and the autumn colours.  We were interested to see what looks like roots growing up the outside of the yew tree trunk. Not sure what's going on there. We tried to identify the fungi in extras with our phones. Some kind of inedible Common Earthball?
