Darpan - day 1

Today was the opening day of Darpan (meaning mirror) - the photography exhibition of the selected work of the photography club in office. We selected 100 best pictures from 20 photographers and setup a 3-day exhibition. We already have an online forum in office where we share our work on a regular basis but seeing them in large prints (12"x18") was an altogether different experience for we photographers and our colleagues alike. On day 1 itself, the event was a runaway hit. During lunch time, the place was thronging with people. All the hard work paid off. We were up in office till about midnight last night, setting things up and giving the final touches to the exhibition. It was really heartening to see all those people admire our work and leave some really kind notes on the feedback notebook.

I have 8 of my pictures displayed in the exhibition. they are:
Thakuma
kid from the flower market
Young Sindbads
the paan vendor
Coffee mug and the table
the year gone by
Ride away to glory
Tensed or relaxed?

I will try to post some more pics of the exhibition over the next two days.
