Quick reaction and no time to adjust settings. Upon hearing the signature call I hunted around in the tree tops until I located the kingfisher. Unfortunately the autofocus honed in on the twigs in front; fortunately I had the aperture set at f13. Still the bird is a little soft. There was some light as evidenced by the branches, but not much and not where I would have liked.

I think this is still the female because it doesn't have the telltale brown chest patches. I keep hoping I might see the male one day.
