Anniemay is on a charity bike ride this afternoon from Land's End to John O'Groats.  She's raising money for a new super-duper and super-expensive rehabilitation treadmill for my gym.  The cost is around £4000.

She's not the only one; some of the fitter members and their families and/or friends take part, riding various exercise bikes.  The event started at 9.00am and people drop in throughout the day to do as much as they can manage - within reason.  

Because Anniemay is proper bike rider and does a couple of spin classes a week, she's allowed to use our latest acquisition, rather than the clunky old sit-up-and-beg exercise bikes that rest of us have to use. And without supervision.

By 3.00pm the target has been reached. 

As a token of my gratitude for her part in this endeavour she is awarded a (chocolate) gold medal.  See extras.
