London, Kings Cross area

My sister and I have had a lovely day in London in the Kings Cross area.
We started with a tour of the Aga Khan Centre focusing on the architectural features. The centre is described as a place of education, knowledge, cultural exchange and insight into Muslim civilisations. The colourful three dimensional sculpture in the atrium is very impressive and reaches up through the nine stories of the building. The picture bottom left is of the view from the rooftop garden, I do not have a head for heights so felt a bit queezy while taking that!
Next we had a tasty lunch of vegetable parilladas (pieces of veg cooked on an individual grill at your table) in a lovely Spanish restaurant and then walked along to the British Library, an impressive large red brick building and wandered round the free exhibition spaces.
There are so many great buildings to see in the area and with the beautiful blue skies above, it was a very enjoyable day!
