Everyday I Write The Book

The look that cats and eldest sons give you sometimes ..

The monthly town market consisted of about eight stalls but they were decent quality so we bought about seven or eight pastes and chutneys for our store cupboard, plus some very nice looking bread which we have frozen.

A very thorough clean downstairs made us feel good about ourselves but the temperature has dropped dramatically this evening. Winter is definitely around the corner. I went into Which? (I am a subscriber) and looked for the best small room heaters as our bedroom can get pretty nippy.

Tonight we watched The Wife of Willesden, a National theatre at Home production written by Zadie Smith and taking Chaucer's Wife of Bath and updating it from being an attack on 14th century church hypocrisy with regards to women and marriage into being a general tirade against 21st century patriarchy.  Very funny, raucous and really well staged.
