Clematis....

....captured in a lull between gusts of wind.

We've been on a severe wind warning over the weekend. Strong blustery nor'westerlies hurled through the garden, flattening and twisting everything in it's path. Trees were violently swaying, side to side, round and round, the noise was loud like an angry sea, it's relentless. Branches have come down from neighbouring gardens, leaves and blossom litter the lawn, my garden has 'hat hair', those little granny bonnets bending towards the ground and still the sun shines, at least that's a comforting feeling.

10,000 people lost power yesterday in our district, I was about to make a cuppa, that didn't happen. Power contractors came from other areas, they worked tirelessly through the night and managed to restore most areas, hopefully all power will be restored as our day ends.

Wind has been a little better today, some strong gusts, a wind warning of orange rather than red is still in place.

Crazy weather......Happy Sunday everyone :)
