It's that view again - around 08:00 this time, and with a much calmer sea. Later I spotted A Custodian raising the flag (see extra). Went for another wander up the east end, seeing a few wartime structures I'd previously missed and finding a sheltered patch of ivy flowers that were being enjoyed by some bees, a couple of Red Admirals and a Comma (2nd extra).

Dave only discovered yesterday that he has a bit of extra leave booked in this week, so was very pleased to be able to come back with me on the Maid of the Forth, not having to work tomorrow. And his colleague Jamie kindly gave us a lift back to Leith.
