Hospital

Early this morning I received a phonecall from my mothers homecare. She was not well, very dizzy and nauseous.
Within minutes both me and Joke were there and soon the doctor and an ambulance followed.
The doctor did some tests with her and then consulted a neurologist by phone. The neurologist told the doctor to send her in. So off we went to the hospital for further examination. A possible stroke and/or cerebral hemorrage had to be excluded.

All and all we spent until 16:00 in the emergency room. Bloodtests, ECG’s and brain scans were made among lots of other physical tests.
The diagnosis that came out of it was: “probably BPPD”. In short: a malfunction of the balance organ that should get better over time.
We were sent home with medication.
What a relief!!
But she still wasn’t feeling well, so our relief was relatively.
Once home, and after taking the first medicine she got a little better.

We stayed with her until she went to bed around 20:30 hours. She was exhausted (and so were we actually.)

This was not a fun day.
