Memorial

This weekend the Associazione Nazionale Marinai d’Italia di Crema ( the National Society of Italian Sailors, of Crema) celebrated their 90th birthday with a two day event, and one of the things they did was to re-open this monument (dedicated to all who lost their lives at sea)  after its renovation. A piece of art and certainly also another hope for lasting peace.

For today’s MonoMonday theme of Piece/Peace with thanks to Laurie54.

We took Mum to the bank to pay her taxes, than to the chemist/pharmacy, where I also got a thumb brace , and then to a large commercial carehome for the elderly , just so she could see what that looked like. It’s so hard to find something suitable but we’re pretty sure that this carehome we visited is not it !
