Autumnal tableau

Susan rings the changes as the seasons come and go. Now we’re into autumn out come all the golds, yellows and reds, garlands, conkers and various pumpkins. This year she’s added one of her autumnal paintings.

An extremely busy morning getting ready to travel to Shropshire this afternoon. In the event it was one of the better journeys from Kent; 4 hours to cover the 208 miles to the B&B in Cressage. It’s the same place that we stayed in June.

We’re the only guests tonight so the owners very generously upgraded us to the Wrekin View room. It’s enormous and luxuriously appointed. We won’t know ourselves. Several cups of tea and a slice of fruit cake helped us to relax as we sat in the lounge looking at the many books about my home county.

Tomorrow is the funeral at Shrewsbury Crematorium. Eulogy written and practiced and fits into the allocated time.
