Bedazzled

A red letter day: Mystère actually ventured out of the house for the first time since we arrived ten days ago. He did have to be encouraged (as in, I carried him outside), but once out he did a half-hour tour of his domain, tested various shady sleeping spots, and eventually ended up back on his familiar cushion on the terrace, where he curled up to "sleep": not really, he had to keep an alert ear open.

He was happy to discover that S was barbecuing sea bream for lunch: another first, somehow we haven't eaten fish at home till now. We had it with oven chips, delicious; and Mystère polished off a serving that represented the largest meal he's had since we arrived, before settling down for a post-prandial snooze. He's exhausted now. Meanwhile we've had aperos accompanied by buttered corn on the cob. It's been another hot one!
