Garden view in Autumn

An afternoon working in the garden. I girded my loins and spent a few hours balancing, rather precariously, at the top of the steep slope above the road, first weeding then planting the bargain perennials from the car-boot sale as well as some bulbs. Had some welcome company - two very bold birds grubbing around (extras).

The first frost of the season this morning, and it's forecast to be cold tomorrow. Just before I came indoors the gritter passed by. 
Winter is coming...
