Patterns

Following yesterday's heavy rain the Island has been buffeted by strong to gale force winds,not the best of news for the Festival organisers.
On arriving at Osborne House this morning I found that most of the woodland team had been caught in the Festival traffic jams and had returned home. Because of the high winds it was deemed to dangerous to go into the woods so we abandoned work for the day.
Walking home past the House I saw these windblown rhododendrons making a pattern on the flagstone floor of an alcove.
