... homework - the Thursday morning task to be completed, on a good day, before the lesson at 1:00 pm. The years we've spent at this should have made us more fluent by now, but when in Italy we can buy tickets, order meals, book hotels and carry on a conversation on subjects ranging from "recycling for the environment" to " drug use by the young and vulnerable"! Apart from all that, our teacher is a lovely Italian lady who, after 20+ years married to an Englishman, understands our jokes!
