Pepysman

Another day, another ship

Yesterday it was a luxury cruise liner but today's river users were more workaday. The dredger went down river as did another general cargo boat and then this vessel sailed past the Beacon Centre. It's the " Wolthusen " which had come up from Corunna to Belfast before heading across to the Clyde and then up to Glasgow.

Because of the narrow channel marked by buoys they come very close to Custom House Quay and you get a rare view of them from the Centre. I also saw at least one submarine come down from Faslane but its silhouette was so slight that the photograph would just have appeared empty.
