Autumn begins over Thrupp and Golden Valley

From my study I was watching distant birds soaring above the Horns valley in the near distance which runs down to join the Golden Valley on the far side. At different times there were buzzards, crows and jackdaws enjoying soaring on the breeze. Then I spotted a pair of kestrels right above the back garden, so I fetched my camera. 

The kestrels flew swiftly up to the head of the Horns and behind the trees. So I thought I'd quickly record the onset of autumn in this perennial view. The autumn colours are just appearing on the trees in the various woodlands in the valleys and on the hillsides.
