Scott Lighthouse in Roath Park Lake

Just north of Cardiff City Centre is Roath Park. In the park is a lovely lake which I call Swan Lake as it has a large population of swans. At the end of the lake is a lighthouse dedicated to Robert Falcon Scott the explorer, as Cardiff was the port at which he set off on his fated last expedition to reach the South pole (1910-13). In addition to the ubiquitous swans notice the cormorants sitting on the island on which the lighthouse is perched.
