Bumblesnaps

By Beewatcher

Bye bye bumblebees

A few weeks ago these flowers by the bandstand were buzzing with bees. Today they’re sitting in silence, because bumblebees start dying off at this time of year. The queens find somewhere to hibernate and emerge in early spring, where they need to find flowers such as crocuses to sustain them while they build a nest.
I’ll be so pleased when I can take bumblesnaps again.
