The Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail, Austin

In the heart of Austin is the 10 miles Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail at Lady Bird Lake, a lush, urban path that meanders along the water’s edge and passes. At Lady Bird Lake ( also call Colorado River) features a 1.3 mile boardwalk section that stretches along the southeastern edge of the lake. We walked about 4 scenery miles on the trail and were just on time to watch the famous Austin bats under the Congress Avenue bridge. (Extra)
There were estimated at 1.5 million Mexican free-tail bats. Each night from around mid-March to early November, the Bats emerge from under the bridge to blanket the sky as they head out for food. This nightly event is considered the most spectacular and unusual tourist attraction in Austin Texas.
