Sweet Chestnuts

I’ve gathered sweet chestnuts in the past but compared to the ones on sale from street sellers, they’ve always been a bit small. Today’s foraging in Panshanger Park however, produced some big beauties which we ate whilst the rugby was on. Peter and Tony got very excited about the England team playing rather better than expected against S Africa but sadly we lost at the end.
