Simply Red.

RIP Sir Bobby.

My old Man U scarf and latest shirt.

I watched the prog about Bobby Charlton’s life this morning and, being a lifelong fan, I found it quite emotional and not easy to watch. I don’t think the Munich Air Disaster ever left him. It was evident by the look on his face and the tears in his eyes every time he mentioned it. Thankfully I was too young to remember it at the time.

I recalled watching the 1968 European Cup on tv with my dad and who could forget the 1966 World Cup Final.

People have been paying tribute all day both on tv and radio and not one person had a bad thing to say about him.

Thankfully I was privileged enough to have watched him, albeit he was nearing the end of his career.
