Leiter Style?

Some of you will be familiar with the semi abstract photography of Saul Leiter. His work came to prominence in the 1990s and there are numerous YouTube videos describing his style. Personally I love his approach and I am going to attempt to emulate him from time to time.

One analysis that I found, has attempted to isolate the style's characteristics:
a) Almost all of his best known photographs were framed vertically
b) He rarely used monochrome
c) Nearly all pictures were shot through some kind of natural filter such as a window, a frame, a doorway, condensation on glass, fog etc.
d) He was fond of reflections and distortions
e) He shot Kodachrome film past its use-by date, often leading to some kind of colour distortion
f) There was often a brightly coloured red or yellow compositional element
g) He frequently used long focal length lenses to foreshorten scenes
h) There was usually a compositional "anchor" in the form of a highly recognizable shape, within an otherwise abstract form.
