Wandsworth Common: Take-off

Crisper rippled reflections in large
Back blip

I had my "Corporate Induction" day for SWLStG (South West London and St. George's) Mental Health NHS Trust, which meant a whole (working) day at Springfield Hospital, albeit in a conference suite in a brand new building rather than on a (condemned) ward. It felt rather surreal to reflect on having lived on that site less than 2 years ago ("Staff must display ID badges at all times on site, because we have no uniform, so service users mostly aren't distinguishable from staff" ). Much of the site has changed dramatically (dis-orientatingly) since I "lived there", but that only helped to underscore this different role and phase in life. I'll be working remotely for the most part, so Tolworth and Springfield visits won't be necessary much...

I then whiled away some hours on Wandsworth Common, before meeting Im near Tooting Bec so that we could walk over to meet the rest of my family near Tooting Broadway in the evening for a b'day supper, so it was a promising- and celebratory-feeling day all round.

Others here (or right from Long-tailed tit)
