Georgian Splendour

Saltram House, Plymouth today. This is the view of the house that you see as you come up the drive from the courtyard and stables. Although you can't tell from this image, the gardens and parkland were heaving with families enjoying the warm Autumn sunshine. Apart from a few small children, few people venture onto this lawned area or walk along this side of the house. A rare glimpse today of it's gentile, Georgian tranquility.
