Pumpkin Bollards

Time to go home. Ground mist was clearing as we got up. Finally left Seacroft around 10 am. Colin came to pick up Cedric which was a great help.

Now that the tearoom and the plant centre at Goltho Gardens has closed down, we had to look for somewhere else to have lunch. The landlady at The Ivy pub recommended The Granary, a newly opened tea room at the old windmill in Wragby.

It's very new, very well turned out and welcomes Basils. Len had home made Lincolnshire pork pie while I had the inevitable baked potato with tuna mayonnaise. But then, I had a slice of a most delicious lemon drizzle cake saturated with syrup.

Bollards bordering the car park in the town centre have been topped with knitted pumpkins. Very thematic.

Driving south on the A46 from Lincoln we reached Newark where the River Trent had breached its banks. Flood water stretched as far as you could see on either side of the road for some distance.
