Side Street - Pisa

This was an unplanned visit.  We were due to fly home on 24th Oct after our holiday.  The weather was so bad our flight diverted to Rome and as the bad weather continued through the day it never made it back to Pisa. 
We had bailed out of Pisa Airport early afternoon before the cancellation decision had been made and booked ourselves into a city hotel.  Many of Pisa's streets are like this, narrow and cobbled. Heavy rain the previous day prevented any long exploration of this historic city.  Now follows a battle with the airline to get our money back.
