Jewelled leaf

The jewels are actually small pieces of glass. This afternoon was the first session in the new series of classes in glass fusing. I didn't make this leaf sadly, but I might make something similar. A real leaf was used as the basis of the design but it burns away when fired, leaving just the glass. The tutor was showing us a number of techniques that we might learn and this one was popular.
