Make it happen

"Make it happen" are the words that were in a speech bubble coming out of the back of the head of this image pasted on the wall near one of the underpasses in Norwich. God knows why I didn't include the speech bubble in the photo but hey ho, there you go.

It was a funny old day yesterday, with several things not quite going to plan including the pissing rain preventing me from nipping down to the Blueberry pub before choir practice to take a shot of the landlord outside, next to the 'We are Norwich / love Norwich, hate racism / no bigots, no racists, no homophobes'" stickers that he will have put in the windows.

We understand that many EDL (English Defence League) supporters will be present at what is being promoted as a peaceful march/picnic in honour of Lee Rigby (the serviceman murdered in May by two extremists) taking place in Norwich on the 23rd June.

A representative of We Are Norwich is liaising with one of the organisers of that event and with the police as we coordinate our response and decide on the most appropriate action to take.

And in Cambridge, not far from Norwich, EDL leaflets were being handed out outside a venue where an anti-fascist action meeting was being held, according to the Cambridge newspaper.

Choir practice went well, and we are all starting to get a bit excited about performing in London in July at the Hand in Hand festival of LGBT choirs.
