A Close Encounter

I was aiming high to take a photo of a Magpie on a roof nearby. I then heard the singing of a Magpie near me. I looked down and realised I was almost on top of it. I was surprised it did not move immediately. I stepped back and it eventually moved. I then realised it only had one leg. It’s beautiful singing was no doubt saying ‘go away, you are in my space’. I doubt I will ever get that close again.
