Hare's Foot

I know that I've blipped rather a lot of fungi in recent weeks but I couldn't resist this one. Its a Hare's Foot Inkcap in its furry immature stage. The mature caps are so unlike these that you might think they are separate species. Having found this one I had hoped to produce a diptych showing the immature and mature forms side by side but the latter are very delicate and I couldn't find one that was suitably whole and photogenic. Perhaps one for another day.
