One daze at a time...

At the end of the day...

Jeez, I shall sleep really well, at the end of the day.

First there was some forestry project, to stop the march of the jungle slowly but surely swallowing Nana's cottage. And not a sound of two stroke engine to be heard. All elbow grease and wobbly ladder and a little bit of swearing and a lot of sweating.
Then a walk down to Nana's beach, to try and tire the blind spaniel in dire need of burning some fat. Jojo stayed in to sleep, the forestry project had tired him. What with all the following the sweaty sweary bearded one carrying branches.
Then there was a feast and for desert the climbing of a hill. Uncle Martin asked to join me. And soon wished he hadn't. The gradient was...erm... interesting. Especially thigh deep in heather. But wait... is that a body of water I spy with my little eye?
A dip in Carrowmore lake was definitely on the cards. Not for Uncle Martin, no. He was actually worried to be seen in the company of the lunatic swimming in the lake in his Penguin jocks. Big sigh of relief, no one drove by as I entered and (thank God) exited the dark brown peaty water (could barely see my hand at the end of my arm when opening my eyes underwater, it was all pure brown soup).
Then a quick patrol of Uncle Martin's venison point of supply. There was no shortage of venison to be seen, except that it not quite venison yet, more little a group of 10 to 12 very giddy furry herbivores (or rather heatherphagous beasts, to be precise), some equipped with impressively pointy antlers.
Then another feast.
And three games of Rummy with Nana.
And finally a blip.
Time to head for the sa
