Seeing Beyond Looking

Chalet Suisse Café

A pale sun shone in the sky this morning and Jean and I decided to go out and have a cheese fondue!  It was a two-bus ride and not complicated. The Chalet Suisse restaurant is situated up higher and on a fine day there is a good view over the lake and mountains.

We chose a fondue made with light, blond beer (instead of white wine) and which had added bolets (bolete) mushrooms.

The main shot is the outside terrace where one can eat when the weather is warm. There are colourful Swiss flag buntings everywhere.
The extra is our fondue!

It started to rain on the way home, but we didn't mind. I probably won't have supper tonight, just fruit. A cheese fondue is a hearty meal that takes a while to digest!
