Ecclefechan

I long ago gave up trying to drive from Oxford to  Aberdeen on boat day (too many miles, too many roadworks, too much weather).  

So now I stop off somewhere around the borders on the day-before-boat day - currently favourite stop is the Cressfield Country House Hotel in Ecclefechan (just a wee bit north of the border).
