The book of Gove

(I should explain to non-UK readers that Gove is the UK Minister of Education and has some very old fashioned ideas about the school curriculum).
For me, this dauntingly huge book on a school child's desk shows Gove's dream - a huge curriculum that everyone has to learn. Scary for the kids,and bad education.
I don't know what it meant to the artist who made it for the Indonesian room at the Arsensle at the Venice Biennale, but that's what it scarily means to me.
