Fosso di Fontemarcoli

Finally there is water again in the mountain torrent that marks our northern boundary. A tremendous storm fuelled by warm air arriving from North Africa on the Scirocco dumped two inches (50mm) of rain last night amidst thunder and lightning. In the previous week while away three inches had fallen. More is forecast for Thursday and the weekend. It still feels remarkably warm with 23c when we deplaned in Florence yesterday.

An extra of the house in a brief spell of windy sunshine.
