No Alfresco Dining Today

Left home early morning and drove to Skipton , Rebecca was waiting for me and we went straight to the hospital where l was booked in for a pre op assessment.
Got there to be told that my appointment had been cancelled as the nurse was ill, receptionist had been  phoning my home but of course l wasn’t there.
Got another appointment for next Thursday, these things happen.

Good in a way as it meant Rebecca could get back to keep an eye on Kitty who was taken ill on her recent school trip. She has broken out with a rash on her legs and torso, it was all pretty worrying as the symptoms did look like meningitis but the glass test proved clear.
We all thought it was an allergic reaction and Rebecca gave the school permission to give anti -histamine  but they made no difference.
Poor Rebecca felt helpless as her child was in Belgium and there was no way of getting to her.
Kitty arrived home after midnight on Sunday and had a doctor’s appointment on Monday morning.
Diagnosed as a virus but as she also has stomach pains it could be a grumbling appendix.

Drove towards home and saw a parking space on The Grove so got my hour’s free parking, got my umbrella and called into Betty’s as l decided l needed a treat on this miserable day. Was impressed with the witch biscuits in the window but settled for my favourite: a fat rascal, my resistance was low :-)

Had half with butter with a coffee when l got home.
Made a beef casserole in the slow cooker overnight so dinner is sorted and l had three more portions to freeze.
No ballet today as it’s half term in Leeds.
