Rydal Cave

We did the Loughrigg Fell walk today. Not the most challenging Lakes walk, but in todays menu was overcast & windy & drizzly weather. It was still spectacular! I did it with my younger sister Angela & her daughter Issy. It was ace.

To be fair the top part was quite the challenge & we were ready for the descent to Rydal Cave which rewarded both with fabulous views over Rydal Water, but also the cave itself.

The walk down thereafter is super easy; a reward for the climb. You walk past some simply stunning property.

Then as we arrived back at the house the drizzle arrived. We made our way to Hawkshead & then Ambleside. The rain abated, the clouds parted, and now stars are beginning to appear.

Typing this listening to The Eagles.
