Ghostly Apparition

I went out today looking for spooky Halloween subjects to photograph. I did not find any, but I need not have worried. When I looked out of the window this evening I imagined a strange apparition.

Instead of the usual view of the garden I saw a ghostly mansion in the distance, and in the foreground I saw a man in some sort of medieval costume walking towards me from the mansion. I expect tomorrow normality will have returned.

Although it was sunny it felt very cold today. there was a cold wind, and the sea looked quite rough.
