Ghostly goings on

No one in the house to get excited about Halloween anymore so neither did I.  Nevertheless, I could hear the children going up and down the High Street after it got dark, but they didn't knock.  The informal rule that you put a pumpkin out if you want trick or treaters, and no pumpkin means no thanks, works well in this village.

Rather liked this tree decoration on the estate over the road.
