Reflections

A visit to the Migration Museum yesterday with a group from Friends of Old Government House.

Confession time: I was very disappointed.  The Museum seemed to concentrate more on present day migrants, rather than presenting the whole picture.  And - apparently they have stored all the Victorian stuff which of course is our main interest with regards to OGH.  And the guide talked and talked and talked - and then talked some more.  So apart from anything else it was a lesson on how not to bore your tour group witless.

This image is taken in the Courtyard.  The building on the left is the old Destitute Asylum, built in 1877.
