My railway poster art calendar has this British Railways artwork of Scarborough circa 1950 ... a resort town well known to holidaymakers from across Britain and still with railway connections to York and Hull both of which Lady H and I have travelled on in our favourite county of Yorkshire ... pity the coastal line from Scarborough to Whitby and Saltburn is no more ... good that each of these towns has a railway to other places
