Dutchman's Breeks

Back to the garden - inevitably. Took the camera out this evening after the rain to take photographs of the first roses, my hostas (so far unsullied by slugs), these dicentra and some curiously coloured osteospermum.

Picked this one for no particular reason - other than the fact that its not the usual kind of dicentra which you'd normally see arranged in a row on an arching stem. Very pretty they are too - but somewhere along the line I seem to have picked up a slightly different variety that hold their flowers in a clump. No idea what the varietal name is. Just as pretty!

Speaking of slugs - so far I've seen a lot fewer than I'd normally expect. Fingers crissed it stays that way!
