The last one

He really didn't want to go. He was the smallest one of the brood and really hadn't had his fair share of food.....but he went with a brave heart and landed safely on the fence. Good luck little one!
We've had some very mysterious goings on in the nest boxes this year. The sparrows had 4 eggs which all hatched but the next morning all the chicks had gone and the nest abandoned (and remained so). No idea what took them.
The blue tits had 9 eggs, 8 of which hatched.But again, overnight 4 of them disappeared leaving the 4 that fledged today. All very odd.
Lousy weather for the little uns (and me!) wind and rain yuk!
