Nice weather for ducks

They were pretty agitated on my walk to work this morning.  The river was high and fast flowing and it’s been raining much of the day.  I’ve seen a photo of a van stuck in the ford this afternoon with water halfway up the doors.  

Though we haven’t yet had the winds of Storm Ciaran Sam in Brighton has, and was awake much of last night worrying that his rattling bedroom window was going to break.  Ben is driving home from Aylesbury in the dark and I won’t relax until he’s here.
