Arighi Bianchi

We pass this Macclesfield furniture store on the way to the care home. It is partly an old silk mill and was founded in the 1850s by two Italian brothers in law. I’ve never been inside but I love the building. It was once threatened by a compulsory purchase order so the road could be built but John Betjeman and others campaigned for it to be saved.
