Gently down the stream

The aftermath of Ciaran

Today I've been very much clearing up the after effects of our bit of Ciaran - nothing even remotely like what many of you have faced, but re-raking leaves off the grass and sweeping thick pancakes of sodden leaves off our steps and the public path at the front which gets dangerously slippy.

Even this little blue tit, blipped in the reserve, seemed to be a touch wind-blown, but in fact s/he had simply been preening.

So a nice walk, a later walk with Hazel and various domestic stuff made up the day.  In the park the bonfire is being built and barricades put up for the fireworks tomorrow.  Oh, and lovely Simon N came round to do all sorts of silly small jobs the house badly needed completing but which I'd backed out of trying to do.

Hve a good evening, folks  xx
